Mass Food Distribution at ICC Jan. 25

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany and their local partners will host a Mass Food Distribution event at the Italian Community Center, located at 1450 Fifth Avenue, on January 25th, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Fresh food, fruits, vegetables, and other items will be distributed to attendees.

Event organizers have issued the below instructions for those planning to attend:

  • Please do not arrive before 9:30 AM

  • Arriving early will cause traffic and crowding

  • Food will be given out beginning at 9:30 AM

  • If you are driving, stay in your car

  • If you are walking, please practice social distancing

  • Wear a mask

Adhering to these instructions will allow us to distribute food in a quick and timely fashion

Catholic Charities is also looking for volunteers to help in the packing and distribution of food items. Volunteers are asked to wear masks and arrive by 8:15 a.m. Gloves will be provided and volunteers may take a box of food if needed. No RSVP required, but send questions to volunteer@ccrcda.org

The program is part of Catholic Charities MOVE in partnership with the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, St. Peter's Health Partners, CDPHP, the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office, Oakwood Community Center, the Ale House, and Capital District Area AFL-CIO.
